Industry Mentorship is aimed at assisting students in their transition from study to the workplace. Industry mentoring provides an opportunity for the contextualisation of learning through direct experience of the industry or profession, and offers students first-hand insights into the diversity of their career options.

Industry mentors enable students to build essential networks; assist with finding work experience or general job-hunting strategies; provide a sounding board for topics such as subject selection or resources for projects; and support and encourage students to develop their own career plans.
